World Day of the Sick 10 February 2019

Let us pray for all those who are sick in mind or body, those who are confined because of illness or old age and those who are struggling with addiction.

Mass and Anointing of the Sick will take place in Our Lady of Victories Church, Sallynoggin / Glenageary on Sunday 10th February. Tel. 01 285 4667

World Day of the Sick Event 2019

World Day of the Sick Conference will take place on Saturday 9th February 2019 in All Hallows, Drumcondra from 10.30-13.00 on the topic ‘Community Struggle with Addiction – A Pastoral Response. Booking forms in the Mass card room opposite the Sacristy.

World Youth Day 2019

World Youth Day takes place in Panama this year. The theme is: I am the servant of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word. Lk 1:38.

A mirror event of the World Youth Day is taking place in Emmaus Retreat Centre, Swords, Co. Dublin on 26th/27th January 2019.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 18-25 January

There will be an ecumenical service in the Church of the Assumption with parishioners from St. Patrick’s Church of Ireland on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 at 7.30 pm. The preacher is Fr. Myles Healy CSSp. The theme of this year’s service is ‘Justice and only Justice you shall pursue’. Light refreshments will be served in Our Lady’s Hall afterwards.

New Sunday Mass Times

With effect from Sunday 2nd December 2018

Sunday Masses will be at 8.45 am, 10.15* am and 12 **noon. There will be no Sunday evening Mass.

Saturday Vigil Mass at 6.00*** pm will not change.

Vigil of Holy Day: 7.30 pm

Holy Day: 7.30 am, 10.00 am

Mon. – Sat. : 10.00 am

Carols by Candlelight at St. Begnet’s Church

Come along and join some members of our Taize choir on Sunday 9th December at 7.30 pm for a unique carol service. The service will be led by Fr. Declan in the ruins of a candlelit St. Begnet’s Church (in the Heritage Centre in Dalkey). Please bring your own lantern/torch and wrap up warmly. If it is raining the service will be held in the Church of the Assumption.

New Mass Times

Please note that our mass times will change from Advent:  Sunday 2nd December 2018.

New Sunday Masses include 6pm Vigil ( Sat eve), 8.45am, 10.15am and 12 noon.

No evening Mass on Sunday.

Please also note that our Taize and Gospel Choirs will sing at Sat 6pm Mass every second week in rotation.
