2021 Speaker Series on California's Future — Virtual Event

August 10, 2021 · 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

ONLINE-ONLY EVENT

About the Program

As fall approaches, California’s public schools continue to grapple with a myriad of challenges. What does reopening look like, and how do educators address issues such as declining enrollment, learning loss, and the health and safety of students and staff? Join PPIC president Mark Baldassare for a wide-ranging conversation with Linda Darling-Hammond, president of the California State Board of Education.

PPIC’s Speaker Series on California’s Future invites thought leaders and changemakers with diverse perspectives to participate critically, constructively, and collaboratively in public conversations. The purpose is to give Californians a better understanding of how our leaders are addressing the challenges facing our state.

PPIC is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization. PPIC does not take or support positions on any ballot measure or on any local, state, or federal legislation, nor does it support, endorse, or oppose any political parties or candidates for public office.
