  • Likely voters trust Barack Obama over Mitt Romney to handle global warming and energy policy.
  • Seven in 10 Californians favor the state law to reduce emissions to 1990 levels, but the partisan gap has grown sharply since 2006.
  • Many Californians (57%) are unaware of the state’s new cap-and-trade system, but a slim majority support it.
